![]() In October 2018 the Gambling Commission fined Mark Jarvis £94000 for failing to follow adequate social responsibility procedures in relation to a customer who lost heavily on the company’s FOBT terminals. The change in maximum stakes on FOBT terminals in April 2019 has forced the company into making further shop closures. In the year ended January 2019, the business had a Turnover of over £80M employing around 250 staff. The business is predominantly situated in villages and towns throughout the midlands and South Yorkshire and it’s betting shops are established brands within their local communities. From humble beginnings, Mark Jarvis has grown into one of the UK’s largest and longest established independent bookmakers. ![]()
